Description
Mohammed Sijelmassi is Group Chief Technology Officer at Sopra Steria, one of Europe’s leading companies in digital transformation, consulting, and technology services. He holds a Master’s degree in Information Technology from the University of Bordeaux, France, and a degree from IAE.
With more than thirty years of experience in software engineering and the delivery of large-scale digital programs, he has held leadership positions across several sectors, including oil exploration, industry, aerospace, and retail. As Group CTO of Sopra Steria and a member of the Executive Committee, he defines and drives the Group’s technology strategy, with a focus on digital transformation, hybrid and cloud architectures, and AI-augmented software engineering.
He works at the intersection of technology strategy, business transformation, and industrial execution, with the objective of turning emerging technologies into measurable value for clients and for the Group. His professional and research interests include generative AI, the platformization of engineering practices, digital sovereignty, sustainable technology innovation, and quantum computing. This interest in quantum technologies is also reflected in Sopra Steria’s investments in Quantonation and Alice & Bob.
Mr. Sijelmassi regularly contributes to strategic thinking and publications on the responsible adoption of emerging technologies and the evolution of enterprise information systems.
